Top 10 Tuesday // Books On My TBR I’m Avoiding Reading and Why

Hello beautiful booknerds

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Here is my Top 10 Tuesday list of Books On My TBR I’m Avoiding Reading and Why. in no particular order.

1- Queen of Shadows (THRONE OF GLASS #4) by Sarah J. Maas

Why I am avoiding it? because I have to reread the first 3 books, it been a long time since I read them, and reading 7 whole books is time consuming.

2- Magic Study (POISON STUDY #2) by Maria V. Snyder

Why I am avoiding it? I think there is a character that I loved so much in the first book may not be in this book.

3- War Storm (RED QUEEN #4) by Victoria Aveyard

Why I am avoiding it? I read the first couple of pages of this book, and kinda made me a little dissapointed, so now I am trying to lower my expectations, because whenever I try to read it, I get pissed and end up closing the book.

4- Wonder Woman: Warbringer (DC ICONS #1) by Leigh Bardugo

Why I am avoiding it? the fact that a 3 amazing authors that I admire each wrote a book in a series about superheros haven’t fully sunk in yet, I love superheros and it kinda weird that authors I know and love are writing about them, I would never look at these superheros the same way again. after I read the series I’m gonna associate this series with the actual superheros, I may never be able to watch their movies again.

5- Three Dark Crowns (THREE DARK CROWNS #1) by Kendare Blake

Why I am avoiding it? it has so much hype around, also my expectations are so high.

6- Passenger (PASSENGER #1) by Alexandra Bracken

Why I am avoiding it? I read books about time travel before and they disappointed me, I’m worried this will be the same.

7- The Dream Thieves (THE RAVEN CYCLE #2) by Maggie Stiefvater

Why I am avoiding it? I read the first book and it disappointed me, but I do like the characters so I want to give it another chance, and I already have purchased the whole series, I purchased them before I started reading the first book, it never crossed my mind at the time that I may not enjoy it.

8- Caraval (CARAVAL #1) by Stephanie Garber

Why I am avoiding it? I heard so much mixed things about this series, to me it sounded good, but I don’t like to read hyped books, I try so hard to lower my expectations, mostly I’m good, unfortunately I’m so hyped to read it,and my hopes are too high I don’t think it cloud meet my expectations.

9- Fireblood (FROSTBLOOD SAGA #2) by Elly Blake

Why I am avoiding it? I nearly forgot everything from the first book, even though I remember enjoying it so much, to complete the series I have to reread the first book, and I’m worried if I do reread it, I may not like it as much.

10- The Book Jumper by Mechthild Gläser

Why I am avoiding it? This book is translated, in my experience, reading a book it it’s original language is always better, sometimes translators change things or change the writing style sometimes. the premise of this book sounds so interesting.

All The Love
I hope you’re having a great day/ night

Top 10 Tuesday // Books I Enjoyed That Are Outside of My Comfort Zone

Hello beautiful booknerds !!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together

1- Thief (The Scarab Beetle, #1) by C.L. Stone

2- Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

3-Killing Sarai (IN THE COMPANY OF KILLERS #1) by J.A. Redmerski

Genre: Contemporary,Suspense

4- The Carrow Haunt by Darcy Coates

Genre: Horror, Mystery

5- The Princess Diaries (THE PRINCESS DIARIES #1) by Meg Cabot

Genre: Women’s Fiction, Contemporary

6- Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

Genre : Poetry,Feminism

this was one of the first poetry books I have read, and I think if I read it again I wouldn’t like it as much, in fact I’d most likely hate it.

7- Bury Me by Tara Sivec

Genre: Mystery,Suspense

8-Introductions (THE GHOST BIRD #1) by C.L. Stone

Genre:Reverse Harem, Polyamorous, Contemporary

I read this twice, it even has so many cliche tropes that if I sense it’s going to be in a book I would never read it, but for some reason I actually like this book so much. there so many guys in this book, 7 of them became her friends, they like her instantly , she is shy and awkward around them because she didn’t have this much friends before, they also trust her very fast which I thought was wired, giving one she barley know anything about them, they all have been friends for a long time, and they don’t know much about her too. this book is also a guilty pleasure of mine.

9-Me Before You (Me Before You #1) BY by Jojo Moyes

Genre: Contemporary, Women’s Fiction

I don’t know how I’d feel about this one if I read it again, but I did enjoy it the first time I had read it.

10- Panic (Panic #1) by Lauren Oliver

Genre: Contemporary

I haven’t done a Top Ten Tuesday in a while , and since I’m getting back to blogging , I decided to do them again. there are so fun to participate in. here is my Top Ten Tuesday : Unpopular Bookish Opinions

1- Ebooks and Audiobooks are valid reading.

When You read a physical book is just like listening to audiobook or ebook, you know the same things as someone who read it in different format.

2- I hate Ron Weasly and Simon Lewis

THOUGHT THEY WERE SO ANNOYING . RON IS RUDE IN THE ENTIRE SERIES , AND SIMON SEEMS TO THINKS HE IS FUNNY FOR SOME REASON BUT HIS JOKES IS PLAIN STUPID. I DID LOVE FRED AND GORGE WEASLY SO MUCH , THEY DESERVED BETTER.

3- I Highlight and write in my books

I don’t dog ear but I’m Okay with anyone doing what they want in their own books

4- DECKED edges are AWESOME

5-I have no INTEREST in reading Contemporary , Classics ,women’s fiction, and non-FICTION

6- I find it unrealistic if none of the main characters die (In Fantasy Genre)

7- I love soul mates trope, and love TRIANGLES when they are done well like The INFERNAL devices trilogy.

8- it hard for me to read a book with no romance in it

9- i hate cliffhangers, and if i know that a series i want to read have it ,then i avoid reading till the whole series is RELEASED.

10- i like twisted and dark characters like Maven and SEBASTIAN morgenstern. also some unlikable characters.
